Sitara earrings
Minimalistic and yet the most complex pieces to shape and craft, the Sitara earrings are an ode to one of the most significant elements in Mughal design and astrology - the North star.
Symbolic of divine light, guidance, knowledge and spirituality, stars held great significance to the Mughals, which reflected in their numerous renditions of it, across artistic media.
The Sitara earrings feature bold, royal blue 8-petaled flowers - luxurious Lapis Lazuli petals with a shiny mother of pearl centre, inlaid on a precisely hand-cut, tabled Makrana marble base. Encased in a 22 Carat gold micron-plated Mughal jali from behind.
